Single Girl

Are you living a single life in a couples' world? Do you feel like you are missing out on all that life has to offer? If one is the loneliest number you might want to do some addition. A person is single for many reasons: by choice, through divorce, death of their spouse, or waiting for the perfect mate. The single experience is not a disease. It can be a very rewarding life style. It is a matter of attitude. Will you be a moaner and groaner or meet each day with a smile?


The Apostle Paul gave us valuable instruction on relationships between husband and wife, parents and their children, and children with their parents. He also addressed widows and the singles set. "I want you to be free from worry. A man who is not married is busy with the Lord's work. He is trying to please the Lord. But a man who is married is busy with the things of the world. He is trying to please his wife. He must think about two things-pleasing his wife and pleasing the Lord. A woman who is not married or a girl who has never married is busy with the Lord's work. She wants to give herself fully-body and soul- to the Lord. But a married woman is busy with things of the world. She is trying to please her husband,
(1 Corinthians 7:32-34 NCV." Paul's message does not forbid marriage. He just made a very good point. A married person is concerned about pleasing their spouse. As believers we believe our marriage is a gift of God. It is; but a single life is also His gift to many others. Cherish His gifts and use them wisely.
