Meditation
by PamFord Davis

How much time do you spend in daily meditation? No, I'm not describing meaningless chants or sitting motionless like a pretzel. I'm wondering about how dedicated we are to meditation on God's written word. Is it read faithfully? Do we contemplate its message and consider its application to daily life?

If you hold your Bible in your lap, open it about half way, you'll find the books of Psalms. King David wrote much of Psalms. "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night (Psalm1:1-2 NKJ)." David exalted God and the written word in reverence. Dig deep. You will discover buried treasure.
