I Love You Because
by PamFord Davis When I hear the word because - two situations come to mind. The first is part of a phrase children receive from parents when they ask the frantic why. "Just because I say so!" That is the bottom line; they need to give no other explanations. The other is the reverent song: Because sang at many wedding ceremonies. The emotional lyrics offer reasons for a foundation of love and commitment. It is easy for a child to love devoted parents. They are responding to the love already given to them. I love you because you first loved me "God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into this wicked world to bring to us eternal life through his death. In this act we see what real love is: it is not our love for God, but his love for us when he sent his Son to satisfy God's anger against our sins (1 John 4:9-10 The Book/ Living Bible)." Tell others why.
