Mingle Moments
by PamFord Davis Are you a loner or do you mingle? It is Christmas time and most of us make the round of parties to enjoy time and refreshments with co-workers, friends and family. Togetherness is such a tender blessing; hugs are warm, handshakes are firm and eyes twinkle with reflecting lights. We are not alone; people are with us to celebrate Jesus birth. Man fears rejection, and he has just cause. The sin of Adam and Eve led to God's judgment; He sent the couple away from the Garden of Eden; they felt the pain of separation from His continual presence. They faced the consequences of their sin; both tasted the bitterness of time without Him. Christmas ended that separation; He is with us! "See, the virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and they will name Him Immanuel, which is translated God is with us (Matthew 1:23 HCS)." He enjoys our company, wants to meet with us to share His heart, our burdens and joys. This Christmas I mingle, but I save time to be a loner, away from the crowd, alone with Him.
