trACker number348 Know Your Enemy
by Dudley Anderson trACker number348 The e-Devotional helping to keep you on-track GodTracker is online at www.godtracker.co.uk 14 January 2011 Dear God Tracker Know Your Enemy In 2009 a Bangladeshi mother and her daughter were tied up and severely beaten by her husband in front of her younger daughter, because she had become a Christian. In November 2009 a mob attacked a Christian community in Egypt, beating them and vandalising, looting and burning down Christian businesses. Last January in Laos 48 Christians were forced out of their homes after 100 officials raided a Sunday morning church service with drawn weapons, informing them that they would not be allowed back until they renounced their Christian faith. Severe attacks on innocent people, indeed. So who's to blame? Perhaps you've not suffered persecution for your Christian faith but it could be that you have suffered at the hand of a bully at school in the workplace or even at home. Perhaps you have been the victim of crime or suffered the trauma of a motor accident. It could possibly be that you are suffering a debilitating disease or have recently lost a loved one or been made redundant from your job. So who's to blame? My friend, God's word says: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms," (Ephesians 6:12). If you are a true follower of Christ then it is Satan who is the true enemy of your soul. In fact, the name "Satan" means adversary. He attempts to do all he can to undermine the purposes and glory of God. To this end he will attempt to inflict you with untold difficulty, harm and abuse and attempt to draw you away from God's planned track for your life. Though it may seem that you are inflicting with pain by human or natural forces, know this that it is Satan who is to behind these attacks. He is the one who is to blame for your difficulties. But, making a public spectacle of Satan at the cross, Jesus Christ triumphed over him and, by faith in his death and resurrection, you have been made more than a conqueror. If you acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord then you have overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony. This means that God is for you therefore, who can be against you? Jesus said that he came to give full life but that the thief comes to kill, steal and destroy. So all harm, evil and destruction inflicted upon a Christian does not come from man nor God but from his adversary, the devil. Therefore, dear God Tracker, stand your ground; fight the good fight and know your enemy! God-tracking is knowing who is on your side. Every blessing Dudley >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> What is trACker? Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. Quote of the Week A Sample of Dudley's Fave Quotes "The devil does not fear the man who fears. He knows that person is harmless. But Satan trembles when we do not fear." --- Reinhard Bonke Don't Give Up, Look Up! Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus! Because I Am Convinced That You Love Me Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Pray "Dear Father, thank you so much for you love for me. Thank you that you sent Jesus to take me sin upon the cross and that he triumphed over Satan sin and sickness when he cried, 'It is finished,' and gave up his Spirit. Thank you that I have the victory over Satan and all his minions, because of the shed blood of Christ. By his therefore, I claim that I am more than a conqueror in all that Satan levels against me. At the name of Jesus every knee will bow! I am convinced that nothing will separate me from your love, O Lord, because I am convinced that you love me. Amen." >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Why not recommend trACker to someone?
