The Gift Of Grace
by Joshua Munoz The fact that you are alive right now and reading these very words is enough evidence to conclude that you have experienced grace and mercy in your life. There is absolutely no doubt about that. Regardless of what you have gone through, what you are currently going through, how you have felt, or how you currently feel, you still keep waking up everyday. Your heart still keeps pumping blood through your body providing you with the sufficient amount of oxygen required to maintain consciousness. You have indeed made some mistakes and you may have fallen short of certain expectations. However, the fact remains, you are still here. This means that you still have an opportunity to do something great with your life. Some people feel as if they have already been defeated, as if they have ceased to exist. Others are aware of the fact that they stand a chance in life, but they are just too lazy to capitalize on the opportunity. Family, friends, and strangers alike, refuse to be a victim of defeat in this world. Regardless of your past or present, by the grace of God you are still here and still have the opportunity to find peace in your life. To whom it may concern, with all due respect, get up, get it together, and keep it moving in the name Jesus, the one who gave his life so that you can have one. Ok, I understand, after everything that you have been through how do you go about moving forward in the pursuit of happiness ? In Romans 3:23-24, Paul writes, "Everyone has sinned and fallen short of God's glorious standard, and all need to be made right with God by his grace, which is a free gift. They need to be made free from sin through Jesus Christ." God's word does not indicate that you need a good paying job, a nice car, nice clothes, or acceptance from others to find peace. Simply just submit to the will of God, the one who gives undeserving grace and mercy. Why should you submit to a world standard that lacks such qualities and determines how you should be treated according to what you do or do not have? 2 Corinthians 12:9 says, But he said to me "My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you. So I am very happy to brag about my weakness. Then Christ's power can live in me." Hebrews 4:16 says, "Let us, then, feel very sure that we can come before God's throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it." As stated at the beginning of this article, the fact that you are here walking God's green earth is enough evidence to conclude that you are experiencing grace and mercy at the hands of God. This is good news. Do you know what this means? This means that despite what it may seem like to you, God has great plans for your life. That's right, there is a purpose for your very existence. Thank God that you are alive and given the opportunity to do something with yourself. If you have yet to do so, now is always an appropriate time to seek the kingdom of God. Remember, in everything God works for the good of those who love him. They are people he called, because that was his plan. (Romans 8:28). Jesus said to love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind (Matthew 22:37). This means to study God's word, believe in it, and with faith, honor and live by it. For this God promises that you will be called according to his purpose and everything will work together for your good. It doesn't get any better than that. Thank God for the gift of grace! Thank you for reading this article. My faith in Christ is what makes me certain that the words will not return void. I myself have came along way and I am very much looking forward to the twists and turns that await me on the road ahead. Fellow travelers, I urge you to choose the right path and stay on it. The road may seem extremely bumpy, but faith in Jesus Christ will declare to you, just as it declares to me, that reaching the destination is well worth the travels. Who you become in the process will keep you from ever wanting to turn back. Trust me, better ye trust God and take the ride whiles you can.
