Salvation and Two Choices
by Melissa Martin

I think about the two men hanging on the two crosses on each side of Jesus and the choices they made.

The man on the right accepted Jesus while the man on the left rejected Jesus.
The man on the right acknowledged his sin. The man on the left denied his sin.

Humility versus pride. The man on the right humbled himself. The man on the left exulted himself.

Guilt versus arrogance. The man on the right expressed guilt. The man on the left expressed arrogance.

A simple choice or a difficult choice. Accept or reject the son of man, the son of God, the Savior. Accept or reject salvation. Accept or reject time without end in heaven.

Choose Jesus or do not choose Jesus. Two choices.

Two different choices.
Two different consequences.
The man on the right chose Jesus. The man on the left did not choose Jesus.

Melissa writes about the God and human connection and condition.
