The Cross at Calvary
by Richard L. Provencher Light begins to sink upon the night, redemption pain and sadness await, righteousness swept aside they tormented Him, our Jesus shamed Him, scourged and defiled His kindness, the Word designed for our salvation. Lifting His head to the Father, remembers on His knees in Gethsemane, the kiss of Judas. "Not my will but Yours," He intoned then rising to His feet prepared for the final journey of our salvation. Now He represents the sins of our existence and exchanges His Divine life for ours. Richard L. Provencher Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
