A Believer's Eyes
by lynn gipson

I look into a believer's eyes,
And what do I see?
The truth instead of Satan's lies,
Smiling back at me.

A believer's eyes are full of grace
And love of all mankind
Shining like a silver lace,
With only Him in mind.

A believer's eyes reveal a soul,
Of mercy for the unsaved.
Inviting us into His fold,
To the road that Jesus paved.

A believer's eyes are warm and tender,
Just as our Lord's are when we come.
At last to our awesome Redeemer,
Through eyes that lead us home.
