For This He Came
by Robert [Bob] Schaetzle Sr. FOR THIS HE CAME This gift of hope and Holy treasure For this He came, God's Emanuel His gift of love we cannot measure He came for us, bringing hope and peace In Him we'll rest, our burden and care His Majesty to reign, His power increase This babe from Bethlehem, joy evermore The Father's gift of love, hope, and peace This Christ child, to worship and adore A promise for all, to bring life new Born in a stable, with love and grace From Mary's song, a dream come true Power and strength, new each day Faith given new, from power on high Trust Him more, when seeking to pray Precious King, for us to tell Our Fathers gift from Christmas This Child we know as Immanuel AMEN My Personal Bio: God has led me to writing that began over 45 years ago when I began to write my own love letters in my children's birthday cards, along with other devotional messages. After retirement from a 40 year career with USPS I have been serving others in lay pastoring at a local Re-Hab Center for 12 years. Writing essays from my sermons. A contributor to 'Faith Writer Magazine' @Faith Writer.com I've had two articles published through them which can be secured through their archives; 'Not Seeking Self' and 'How are we Finishing the Course?'
