He Remembers Me
by PamFord Davis I'm not a computer geek, avoid texting and use a dumb phone. In spite of all of this, I'm a fan of facebook; the Internet may be a world-wide-web but facebook is a world-wide-party line. Daily, I enjoy interaction with people that I have never met face-to-face. What I really, really like is the renewing of relationships from years gone by. "I remember you!" How exciting to receive a message from someone who remembers me from elementary, middle or high school. When old friends remember me fondly, they affirm me. It is equally uplifting when I come upon a familiar name or face in a profile picture. "I remember you!" Before coming to know Christ Jesus personally, I never gave a thought about him knowing or remembering me. Extra! Extra! He remembers me! "Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 'Go and cry in the hearing of Jerusalem, saying; 'Thus says the LORD: 'I remember you, The kindness of your youth, The love of your betrothal, When you went after Me in the wilderness, In a land not sown (Jeremiah 2:1-2 NKJ)."
