GOD-TRACKING IS LOOKING BACK TO SEE AN OPEN DOOR

This song is packed with questions about life and goes on to ask, "Do you get what you're hoping for? When you look behind you there's no open door. What are you hoping for?" I think this song demonstrates a life made up of pipedreams, if onlies and what ifs. Sadly, many of us find ourselves caught up in the same guessing game, not sure where we are going to. But as God-trackers, we should exercise a completely different approach to life, because we believe in the purposes of God. Indeed, without Christ I'd have no idea where I was going to, but since I confess Jesus as my Lord and God I can be confident that he will direct my path. God-tracking is based on the concept that God knows the plans he has for us (and only God knows these plans) and if we acknowledge him in all our ways then he will guide us according to these plans that he has for us. Therefore, I can commit my future to him in the hope that the doors his opens for me will work out for my good and his glory. And faith is being confident in things hoped for. So, you can have hope for tomorrow. You can be confident in where you are going to. Even if you can't see what tomorrow holds, the Lord has placed an open door before you; and what God opens no man can close! However, it takes faith to step out into the unknown, but as you do you will look behind you and see an open door. So dear God-tracker, acknowledge God in all your ways and you will know where you're going to! God-tracking is looking back to see an open door God bless you Dudley It's all in the Book Proverbs 3:5-6 Jeremiah 29:11 Romans 8:28-31 Hebrews 11:1 Revelation 3:7-8 Vo/W Verse of the Week 2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. Quote of the Week A Sample of Dudley's Fave Quotes "We can walk without fear, full of hope and courage and strength... waiting for the endless good which God is always giving as fast as He can get us to take it in." --- George Macdonald Don't Give Up, Look Up! Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus! Even when I can't see what awaits me on the other side of the door Pray: "My Lord, thank you for the plans that you have for my life. Thank you for the many doors that you have waiting to be opened to me. Today I re-confess that I acknowledge your Lordship and purpose in every aspect of my life my career, my relationships, my church life, my private life and trust that you will open those doors for me that comply with your plans. Help me to walk in faith even when I can't see what awaits me on the other side of the door and to live in expectation that I will receive what I am hoping for. Lord, I love you and I do trust that all things will work out for my good and your glory. Amen."
