Prospects are Great
by PamFord Davis Have you caught any episodes of the prospectors reality show on the Weather Channel? Personally, I want only weather on the Weather Channel, but have seen glimpses of the program when my husband is surfing the channels. I think there is a bit of prospector in most of us. We daydream about the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and search for four leaf clovers in the grass. Alas, there is no pot of gold and four leaf clovers are few. The prospects are great when we seek nuggets of wisdom. "Receive my instruction in preference to [striving for] silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, For skillful and godly Wisdom is better than rubies or pearls, and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it (Proverbs 8:10-11 Amplified Bible)." Digging for gold, silver or gems is grueling work, requiring patience and diligence. Seeking wisdom is a lifelong pursuit. Start digging!
