Healer
by PamFord Davis

We take the miracles of God for granted. If he opened the blinded eyes of unbelievers to the miracle of conception and birth, such people could never doubt his existence and omnipotence. He also miraculously heals multitudes. I have heard testimonies regarding unexplained miracles; in such cases, even skeptical physicians have been known to attribute healing to God.

"God gave the command and healed them. So they were saved from dying. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his love and for the miracles he does for people (Psalm 107:20-21 NCV)." How ungrateful we can sometimes be; we thank medical doctors and nursing staff and fail to voice thanksgiving to the Great Physician. Jesus went about healing the sick and preaching repentance.

"Jesus answered, 'Go back to John and tell him about the things you hear and see: The blind can see. The crippled can walk. People with harmful skin diseases are healed. The deaf can hear. The dead are raised to life. And the Good News is told to the poor (Matthew 11: 4-5 NCV)." We might wonder why he is not performing miracles in our lives. Each breath is a miracle!
