Name Your Poison!
by PamFord Davis "Name your poison!" Those in their right frame of mind heed warning labels; when seeing a skull and cross bones, we recognize it as poison. God gives us daily warnings through His word and Holy Spirit; I bemoan the tragedy of so many ignoring His warnings. "Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency, Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger, (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies), Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5: 19-21 Amplified Bible)." Sin leads to death; it poisons the spirit. "Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever] (Romans 8:6 Amplified Bible)."
