Woe is Me!
by PamFord Davis

'Hee Haw' segments featured grown men whining over their plight. They bemoaned their bad luck as viewers laughed. Admittedly, I do feel sorry for myself. Woe is 'me, poor, poor, pitiful Pam! The Prophet, Jeremiah lamented the spiritual state of his nation.

At times, God appointed him as a messenger to confront and correct. To Baruch he said, "You have said, 'Woe is me, because the LORD has added misery to my pain! I am worn out with groaning and have found no rest (Jeremiah 45:3 HCS)."

Jeremiah brought a message of judgment; yet, concluded with words of mercy. " [this is] the LORD's declaration'but I will grant you your life like the spoils [of war] wherever you go (Jeremiah 45:5b HCS)." Woe is me? No, great is He, righteous and merciful!
