Remembering the Alamo
by PamFord Davis

Are we really 'remembering the Alamo?' I wonder. Sure, tourists still make it a photo op when they visit historic San Antonio. Many do purchase souvenirs from the inside gift shop before hastening to the River Walk or Sea World, that's true. Yet, do we 'remember' the lives sacrificed there in defense of freedom?

Jesus gave the greatest sacrifice for me, his sinless life. Do I remember?

"And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, 'This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.' Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you (Luke 22:19-20 KJV)." Will I humbly 'remember the atonement?'
