I read the Facebook posting on my timeline and smiled. I immediately remembered what the scriptures say in Revelation. John the Apostle was given messages to the 7 churches of Asia Minor. To the church of Philadelphia he was told to write that what Christ opens no one can shut and what he shuts no one can open. Then he went on to say that God had placed before the Philadelphians an open door. As with all of God's word, we can take this statement personally, too. If we acknowledge God in all our ways and seek him in faith then he will lead us according to his plans for our lives. In the process of tracking the course that the Lord lays before us we often encounter so called, "doors" of opportunity. In other words, we face various options to appropriate various opportunities that present themselves to us as open or closed doors. Sometimes these doors are way open and all we need do is walk on in. However, sometimes we find ourselves in a large palatial hallway with several doors (opportunities) before us, all closed. It is here that we need to pause before grabbing the first available door handle and thrusting the door open on our own initiative. We need to wait on God and wait for God to orchestrate our circumstances to fall in line with his plans before we can walk through any doorway. And while you're waiting for God to open that door, praise him in the hallway! God-tracking is praising God while you wait for him to move you on. God bless you. Dudley It's all in the Book Revelation 3:7-8 Psalm 37:3-7 & 34 Isaiah 30:18 Ephesians 5:15-16 Vo/W Verse of the Week Psalm 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Quote of the Week Sample of Dudley's Fave Quotes "When God bolts the door, don't try to get in through the window. The will of God never will lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you." Unknown Don't Give Up, Look Up! Look up and Fix Your Eyes on Jesus! I give my future to you and choose to praise you here in the hallway, as I wait for you to open the next door in my life "My Lord, thank you for the many doors you have opened to me in my life. Thank you for all your blessings and opportunities. Yet, today I face several new opportunities that present themselves to me. I do acknowledge you in all my ways, O Lord, so help me to hear your voice and follow your bidding in making the most of this opportunity, with wisdom. I give my future to you and choose to praise you here in the hallway, as I wait for you to open the next door in my life. Praise God! Amen."
