Precious Ornaments
by PamFord Davis Do you have a Christmas party circled on today's calendar? Would you believe two? People who are actively involved in churches and communities are a bit overwhelmed. If gift exchanges are involved, attendees add the needed presents to their shopping lists. Tree ornaments are appropriate and appreciated. My mother-in-law creates gourd Christmas tree ornaments that brighten homes or offices. As a bonus, purchasers don't have to break the piggy bank to pay for them. Each Christmas season, I transform my unadorned artificial tree into a Christ centered tree through the hanging of colorful scripture ornaments. The set features crosses, hearts and stars. The most precious ornament is rectangular shaped and hangs on an extended upper branch. It bears the name of the incarnate Savior Jesus How do I adorn my life? "Do not let your adornment be merely outwardarranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God (1 Peter 3:3-4 NKJ)."
