SPIRITUAL EMPTINESS
by Maurice A. Williams

I live an earthly life, a role
In which I feel supreme.
Oh, it isn't sin. A human goal
Motivates each dream.

I have a soul that I ignore.
No spirit life in me.
I should beware, think twice, before
I reach eternity.

What then? My body in the grave,
And all it's dreams be done.
Then, my spirit would I want to save,
And yet, it's dreams were none.
