Heart Failure
by PamFord Davis Heart failure, terminal... Such words invoke fear, sadness and grief. The letters from the alphabet do not sound the death knell. The power evoked is in the definition of the words and stems from the authority of the speaker. Words seem to jump from pages from the Bible; I attribute their power to the LORD of all creation; through his Holy Spirit, he inspired the writers. A Psalm writer addressed the reality of heart failure. "My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever (Psalm 73:26 KJV)." The beating of his heart would one day cease but his God forever lives.
