FALSE LOVE
by Lewis E. Thomas He said, "Lord, I love you" but his actions and deeds proved not! God was someone that he often forgot. He "never" went to "God's House" to give Him praise! He "seldom" read the Bible to learn God's ways. He "told others" that he loved God but his absence left God grieved! By his own heart he had been blindly decieved. He grieved God's heart severely with his constant neglect! He did not realize his lukewarm behavior would have an eternal effect! God watched the door of His Church hoping he would come! But my friend's heart had grown "cold" and spiritually numb! He called himself a "CHRISTIAN" but his case could never stand! He never did anything for Jesus "THE SON OF MAN"! His "lips gave God praise" but his heart was far away! He "could not see" just how far he had strayed. Will he wake up out of his "spiritual coma" and repent in time? Is this poem a warning to "you" as you end this rhyme? This poem was written in the hopes of reaching/rescuing a friend. He is presently walking blindly down a road of sin!
