What Does The Word Say?
by Annagail Lynes Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 The Word of God is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. It is supposed to direct us, to lead us in the way we should go. However, how many of you read the Word every day? How many go to it with your every problem? How many of you know what it says about your situation? Many times we think we know what it says. We know what we have been taught that it says, but we don't actually know what it says. In order to know what we are believing for, in order to know where God stands on a situation, we have to go to the Source, to the Word for ourselves. Need healing? Go to Romans 8:11, 1 Peter 2:24, Isaiah 53:4-5, Psalm 91:16. Need provision? Go to Philippians 4:19. Need peace? Go to John 14:27. What does the Word say about your situation? Then meditate (mutter them over and over again to yourself) on those Scriptures until you believe them above your circumstances. We have to choose to believe God and His Word as our final authority instead of the news or what people say. Choose to believe God's Word today.
