Plant Me In Good Soil
by Lori McNeill

Here I am Lord, a seed whisked away in the wind.
Lost, blowing wildly throughout the world.
Lord, plant me in good soil.
Let my roots grow deep so the wind of doubt and unbelief
Will not pick me up and I lose my way again.
Here I am Lord, plant me in good soil.

Here I am Lord, a seed floating about on the waters.
Many great waves pushing me back and forth trying to drown me.
Lord, plant me in good soil.
Let my roots grow deep so the flood of vengeance and resentment
Won't drown me, and I lose my way again.
Here I am Lord, plant me in good soil.

Here I am Lord, a seed left out in the hot sun barely covered by the soil.
It slowly burns me with much hatred and anger.
Lord, plant me in good soil.
Let my roots grow deep so I won't burn with hate and anger
And I lose my way again.
Here I am Lord, plant me in good soil.

Here I am Lord, a seed stuck in a crevice.
The ground is dry, cracked, starving and thirsty within.
Lord, plant me in good soil.
Let my roots grow deep so I will know the truth of you
And your word, and I won't lose my way again.
Here I am Lord, plant me in good soil.

I don't have any copyright info - not sure how to get that. No website either. Married for over 20 years now. Really enjoy writing for the LORD.
