The Righteous iFor The Unrighteous
by Olawale Ogunsola

"For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:6,8.

Happenings in the world today still point to the spreading of rebellion against the Almighty God which began in the garden of Eden. It was there and then that man lost his close relationship with his Maker, God. Since then he has been running away from God in fear.

To cover man's nakedness, he provided himself a weak covering made of fig tree leaves. How long can such provision last becomes a subject of debate and research. However, his Creator provided another better covering for his nakedness to demonstrate His love for man. He made it from the skin of an animal. It is glaring the skin could see more days than fig tree leaves. Read Genesis chapter number three for details.

As man began to multiply, rebellion also continued to spread at an alarming rate. At a point in the history of man, "the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." Genesis 6:5.

By that time, the Lord destroyed every living thing from the face of the earth except Noah, together with his household who found grace from the Lord because of his righteous lifestyle in a corrupt generation. Noah was also commanded to save some birds and animals. (Genesis 6).

Do you know that after the floodwaters, wickedness continued unabated? The Lord then provided another way of rebellion reconciling man with Himself.

During man's rebellion, let me discuss three of what man suffered.
1. Loss of control over sin. Man could not overcome his sinful nature but needs help to do this. The truth is
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 3:23,6:23.

That was the reason Jesus came in. Matthew 1:21 discloses
"...and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
This same Jesus then asserts,
" Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." John 15:13

Certainly you need Jesus Christ!

Apostle John writes,
"My little children, these things I write to you,
so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous." 1John2:1.

Therefore, everyone can now be "justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus". Romans 3:24.

Be justified today!

2. Poverty and lack started. The Lord created all that mankind would ever need before his creation. Rebellion turned everything around for the worst. Comfort become discomfort. Pleasure became displeasure. Man was driven out of garden of comfort only to be cursed,
"cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it
All the days of your life." Genesis 3:17.
This was the entry point of poverty and lack. Since then, struggling began.

Who can then bail man out?

Apostle Paul answers,
"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.". 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Christ had paid for all!

3. Another serious enemy of man on whom he has little or no control is sickness. Sin sinks sinners with sickness. Diseases and various ailments dominate man. The world today witness the birth of new diseases never heard of.

What is the way out? JESUS CHRIST!

"And by His stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5b.
No wonder that during his earthly ministry, He healed many people of their diseases. His name still performs miracles of various kinds. Be healed IJN!

Have you decided to replace yourself (the Unrighteous) with Him (the Righteous)?
He has paid the complete ransome for all your sins, poverty and diseases. You have no reason to bear these things yourself any longer.

Therefore, "Repent... and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out; so time of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19.
Stay blessed and rapturable because the Lord is coming soon.
