FOUND WANTING
by Lewis E. Thomas I stood before God's Throne to be judged for how I had Iived my life. Over in the Witness Stand sat my children and my wife! Next to them sat my parents with my brothers and my sisters. God spoke to me and said: "Things are about to get serious here Mister!" He called all my family members before Him "one by one!" He asked each one to describe the "acts of love" and "selfishness" that I had done! Then God weighed my "acts of love" in a Balance against my "acts of selfishness!" My "acts of selfishness" tipped the Balance down hard and things took a terrible twist! I stood before God as a lost sinner without JESUS as my Savior! There would be no divine grace to tip the Balance in my favor! God said, " Sir, you talk a good talk but it's clear to see!" "Your selfishness "outweighs" any love you claim to have for your family or me!" Then God said, "Heaven is a Place of Love where selfishness can never dwell!" Your acts of love and faith are found wanting so, " I must send you down to Hell!" I begged the Lord to give me another chance and more time! Think about how God answered as you close this rhyme! Lewis E. Thomas As given by God on 4/5/2016 Daniel 5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.
