In the Valley of a BC Morn
by Richard L. Provencher I want to wrap myself around the stillness of a BC morn like the birch that clings, a white arrow reaching the sky with overcast a nuisance away; the jewellery of another day. Yet horses continue jawing at their greens covering the yard as velvet sheen. Chewy without a need for unnecessary work before the swallow. Yesterday we fished the Morice River its flow enticing silver flash of lure; single hook at attention. Waiting for the big one a steelhead. Visitors come from all over to share the pleasure. And now rain picks up. Delays our plans horses still munching and those birch as straight as ever. (c) 2016 Richard L. Provencher Richard enjoys writing poems; many of which have been published in Print and Online. He and his wife, Esther are also co-authors of stories and a print novel. They are "born again" Christians and very busy in their church, Abundant Life Victory International, in Bible Hill, Nova Scotia. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
