At a Slower Pace
by PamFord Davis It seems I'm always rushing. I rush even when sitting still. Mentally, I rush through things I want to accomplish. There's a lot to be said for living life at a slower pace. Life does not have to be a rat race; I can stop 'running' my life. I can slow down to a walk. When we walk with the Lord, he leads; we follow. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand (John 10:27-28 KJV)." I try to visualize Jesus running as his disciples run behind and try to catch up with him. That does not compute. "LORD, I want to walk in faith. You lead; I will listen for your voice."
