We Stray
by PamFord Davis God the Son walked among men. He came on a seek and save mission. "For thus says the Lord God: 'Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day (Ezekiel 34:11-12 NKJV)." See the drama unfold. He actively searches for His lost sheep. He seeks them out. It is not a 'seek and destroy' mission; it is to seek and deliver us from the bondage of sin. He knows where to find His lost sheep. "All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6 NKJV)." We stray; yet, He seeks and saves. "And Jesus said to him, 'Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:9-10 NKJV)."
