Worshipful While Waiting
by PamFord Davis

Waiting

Am I patient or impatient?

Is my mind focused or wandering?

I confess; when encountering delays, I want to take control.

The Jews looked for their Messiah; they waited for the fulfillment to the prophesied birth of the Christ child. Were they worshipful while waiting?

I cannot say but it was worth the wait.

"But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, 'Abba, Father!' Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (Galatians 4:4-7 NKJV)."

You know, He is coming again. He is. I am waiting for His promised return.

The Father is in control. He will send Him in the fullness of time, in His time.

"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father (Mark 13:32 NKJV)."

I expect Him to return soon.

"Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect (Matthew 24:44 NKJV)."
