To Build, To Fight
by Linda Jackson One hand to build One hand to fight Building a house, a home of radiant light The Word of God I hold up high, "Build with the Lord," my battle cry I cry with hope and love is my praise, the enemy's threats are all in vain Building a wall, not a place to hide, building a wall of souls reaching the sky One hand on the plow, one on my blade Spread the seed, watching my back Growing a wall, His love I do not lack He gives me strength to carry on I give Him thanks, I hear His call A heart song from my lips Cause I know He loves me even when I slip A war goes on in every heart God has made Some ask for His help Others want to play a game To plow, plant, water and harvest Growing glorious lives He stacks the stones, seen with spiritual eyes His call to me is to plant the seed that builds the wall Holding His sword, His Word I need Building His wall, planting His seed As I sow in tears I lift the name of those I hold so dear Ref: Neh 4:16; Eph 6:10-18; Ps 126:5-6 My name is Linda Jackson.
