There is a stirring of hearts in our nation; multitudes are praying for revival in America.
We are seeking revival in our churches. It’s sad but true; great numbers of churches have declined in attendance. We grieve over church congregations that are cold and dying.
Christians believe that God hears and answers prayer; yet, we do not see sustained revival.
LORD, revive ‘me.’
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalm 51:10 NASB).”
I need an awakening; touch me.
“Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth (Psalm 119:88 NASB).”
Churches are closing their doors. Realtors post For Sale signs.
I am discouraged.
“Will You not Yourself revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You (Psalm 85:6 NASB)?”
I cannot work up revival. Through fervent prayer and repentance, I trust Him to send it down from heaven.
“… and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14 NASB).”
