The Road To Destruction
by lareina morgan Have you ever been in a situation that you knew wasnt the best or the right place to be in, but you stayed in it anyway? Do you wonder why sometimes you feel compelled to do something that seems good at the time, but later in hindsight you can see that is was not right or beneficial to yourself or the people in your life? Why does it seem that everything bad looks good, and everything good seems boring, uninspired, or restrictive?
You see, if we are descended from animals, then why should we apologize for 'animal like' behvior? If this is all that there is, then we should just make the best of the situation, begin to acquire everything that we need, and do whatever it takes to get everything that we want. The problems arise from how we go after what we want and what we do to get them; many times we incur 'collateral damage'.
God's take on life is this: to love, to give of yourself, to praise and worship Him, to live for Him, to want the same things that He wants, to cherish each other and your life on this world. We were not made just to acquire things, and pursue our own agendas at the expense of everyone else. We were made to love and cherish our Creator and Lord, Jesus Christ, and to live in
If there is one thing that everyone learns in life, it is that once you know something essential, it changes your whole life and your perspective, and once you have received it, you can't go back to what you once were, your innocence is gone. That is why parents go to so many lengths to shield their children from 'knowledge' they don't need at the time, because they are not ready to handle it. Innocence is a commodity that is taken away from children very quickly in this world, and sometimes instantly almost from the time that they are taken from the womb.
Secondly, the knowledge they received was not 100 percent good and pure, because with the good knowledge they also received evil knowledge; it was this evil knowledge that corrupted their souls and led to a fallen human nature. You must understand, that good cannot coexist well in the presence of evil. That is why the Lord had to chase them out of the garden of eden; the Lord will not allow evil to exist in His presence. That is why Jesus came to earth to live among us, to show us what pure good is, to fellowship with us and to show us His compassion, and to die on the cross for us, a sacrifice of love, to atone for our sins, because we are incapable of living good and pure lives. As christians, when we come into His presence and worship at His altar, He sees us as righteous because of the Blood of the Lamb, shed for us at calvary. He sees His Son's blood upon our hearts and souls, and He is pleased to have us in His presence, so that He may love us and favor us with His grace and mercy. When adam and eve were living in the garden of eden, they only knew peace, love, happiness and joy, but once they ate the fruit they also began to know fear, hate, pride, and discord. That is why when we try to think of good things we also think about negative things, but we should not allow ourselves to be overcome by these bad thoughts, and if we are born again believers, than we have the power of Jesus Christ in our lives, and the tranforming power of the Holy Sprit in our hearts.
If you feel convicted by the words in this article, reach out to the one who can free you from your sins, Jesus Christ. He is waiting for you to see the truth about Him, and that He is the only one who can save you from the coming destruction. We cannot save ourselves, and you have to realize that you are the only who can choose real life for yourself, the life that brings peace, joy, happiness and love. Choose Jesus Christ Today!
Lord, I repent for trying to be master of my own life. I change my mind about who I want to be in charge of my life. I turn from my useless and unproductive thoughts that I am the center of my universe and choose to believe in the living God who created everything, including me (Acts 14:15). I have lived without a purpose but now I will live to hear and obey You, God (Jn. 5:19, 20,30). from the true world of God Blog https://learningtoliveandloveinthewordofgod.blogspot.com/ Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
