WRITING FOR GOD
by Lewis E. Thomas I sat in my car this morning waiting on a friend.
I thought about the Lord and I thought about sin.
I began to read back through "older poems" God had me to write.
I could feel God's "presence" as He held me tight!
Tears "ran down my face" as I read words God had given me "in the past."
Words from The Almighty that would remain steadfast!
I was "blessed over and over" by His Words my hand had penned!
Words about God's love, His wrath and His forgiveness of sin!
Words that will not return unto God void!
Words that can cause a sinner to repent before he is destroyed!
Writing for God is where my heart now stays!
That I may serve Him "all" of my days!
Writing for God, to bring "Him" glory and fame!
Writing to instill fear and love unto His holy name!
"Lord give me an "ocean of ink" and make me your chosen Pen!"
"To tell the world about the Cross and Jesus' atonement for Sin!"
"Writing for God is why I live and why I breathe!"
Looking for that Crown that I shall one day receive!
When my mother Eunice bore me she rejoiced and blew her horn!
Not realizing that "To Write for God" was the "reason" I was born!
