We are God's Workmanship
by Dinora Trujeque

Look at this verse from the Amplified Bible Version. When Jesus' disciples asked Him, "Who can be saved?" looking at them, Jesus said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God." -(MARK 10:27)

Do you see that little explanation in brackets? It makes all the difference in the world!

It means that if we are left to ourselves; if God actually decides not to intervene in our lives and save us, it is impossible for us to be saved. Salvation is only possible because God has purposed that we do not perish. It is only because of Him that we are able to know Him, trust Him, and abhor our sins.

If we know this, how much more reason do we have to get closer to Him, abide in Him, to literally cling to Him every day, every hour and every minute of our day. Our life comes from Him. He is the tube that connects us to life, as it were; the oxygen mask that, if we remove, we perish. I'm not saying that we can lose our salvation, but that our very life springs from one source only: God.

This must drive us to Him in so many ways. First to obtain true life, and then for sustenance, to be nourished, to stay healthy, to grow, to bear fruit and to be preserved. He is the Bread of Life from whom we must be nourished and the Living Water that sustains us, and we are indeed His workmanship!

Let's thank Him for his infinite grace.

"In Him we live and move and have our being"  "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2: 10; Acts 17: 28)
