THE HUNGRY LION
by Lewis E. Thomas There was a hungry Lion "pursuing" his prey along life's trail of woe!
He scaled many mountains and prevailed thru many valleys low!
He was determined to catch up to his prey, so he pressed on!
And when other lions "stopped pusuing" he continued all alone!
"His heart was fixed and he would never give up the chase!"
He grew stronger as he overcame many obstacles with the gift of grace!
He was fearless in the darkness where his roar made the demon's scream!
"His pace never faultered in his pursuit of the King of kings!"
The Lion finally spotted his prey as his prey passed thru the Vail!
He ran fast, making great leaps and bounds, hoping to prevail!
He burst through the Vail and into The Holy of Holies at great speed!
He had finally found/caught his prey that would meet his eternal needs!
This Lion was "an old saint" that had been pursuing God for many years!!
The Lion was now face to face with his Creator and the Lion shed many tears!
Oh Lord, make your saints to hunger for you like an old starving Lion!
Show us how to leap beyond the Vail and into the arms of the King of Zion!
"Fill us with your power Lord, and give us a Mighty Roar!"
Fill us with your wisdom and knowledge God, and keep us always seeking more!
