STEPPING INTO ETERNITY
by Lewis E. Thomas STEPPING INTO ETERNITY! My son texted me this morning and reported a fatal crash on a local road I use.
There will be another dead soul named today on the local News!
Was it a Father, a Sister, or a Brother?
Or was it a stranger or an unknown other?
The point is it was someone who got up this morning to do their daily routine!
"Not knowing that they would soon stand before the KING OF KINGS!"
As they pulled out of their driveway and yelled to their family "Bye"!
They had no idea that just down the road they were going to die!
When their heart stopped beating their soul left that lifeless shell!
Did that soul go to Heaven or did it go to Hell!
Only God knows the answer to that today!
I hope that they were saved and walking on that "Straight and Narrow" way!
I hope that they knew Jesus as their Savior and had let Him make them new!
I hope that they honored Jesus everyday in every thing they had to do?
Eternity is without Time with no beginning and no end!
Where will "you" spend eternity when "for you" it begins?
Next time you get in your car or truck and turn that key!
"Death may have an APPOINTMENT with you that you cannot see!"
If you don't know Jesus, turn that engine off and bow your head in prayer!
Ask JESUS to come down into your heart and save you right then and there!
Now, turn that key on and go along your merry way!
Knowing that Jesus "has your back" today!
"And should that appointment with death "remain" for some reason odd!"
You can "know" that it's "OK" because you will go to be with God!
