LORD, LET YOUR LOVE CONSUME ME!
by Lewis E. Thomas LORD, LET YOUR LOVE CONSUME ME! Lord, let your love consume me and swallow me up!
Lord, let your Holy Spirit drive out of me "everything" corrupt!
Lord, let me desire your love "more" than the food I eat!
Lord, let me hunger and thirst for "more" prayer time at your feet!
Lord, let every cell in my body bear the image of The Cross!
Let your love consume me until "all" of my "old" self is lost!
Let your love "control" every word that leaves my lips!
Lord, let your love "consume me" and hold me forever in its grip!
Lord, let your love lift me up like a Tornado to sweep me away upon the wind!
Lord, let your love drive out of me "every trace" of sin!
Let your love consume my thoughts and all my desires!
Lord, let your love "burn within me" like Seven Holy Fires!
Lord, let your love "make me over" on this path I trod!
Lord, let your love mold me and shape me into a "Holy Vessel of God"!
