THE SOUL'S CONFLICT
by Gabriel Abina There lie two witnesses in my members Both alike tussle for the whole, What I will they hamper – One like fire makes my bowels roll, The other with perspire possess my soul. When it’ll end I always wonder, Perhaps when I cross yonder – Can they call a truce and set me free? One must triumph I know within: I am become the battle ground, The trophy for ceaseless hounds, I yearn for earnest release, From He who gives life its lease, Knowing one day I’ll be at ease. Gabriel T. Abina is a lively Christian writer, whose desire is to be a voice for God in this generation. A graduate of Hist. & Int.
