WHEN ITS "MY" TURN
by Lewis E. Thomas WHEN ITS "MY" TURN When it's my turn to lay life down...
I hope that faithful is how I shall be found!
When it's my turn to take my final breath...
I hope God will say, "My dear servant, you passed my test!"
When it's my turn to say my final "Goodbye"!
I hope to see you again bye and bye!
When it's my turn to be laid in the cold ground...
I hope to arise "soon after" wearing a holy crown!
When it's my turn to face my life's last sunset!
I hope I'll have no spiritual reason to worry or fret!
When its my turn for Death to come and take me away!
I hope these are the words that my Lord will say!
* YOU FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT! *
* YOU FINISHED THE RACE! *
* YOU MADE A GOOD RUN! *
* YOU KEPT THE FAITH! *
* THEREFORE, I SAY UNTO THEE *
* "WELL DONE!" *
