Where Is Your God?
by Linda Jackson The world with a mental vein of pain and dread Looks at me, where is your God? Is He alive or dead? I try from my heart Lord to show You are life Their eyes so hopeless, voices of the lost Is your God dead? Can He be found? Listen I say, to all who will hear My God is alive, in heaven and on earth He is the true God of all there is He does what He pleases for all is His He knows your idols fallen woman and man God sees as you form them in your mind and hand Beautiful as gold and silver Alive with a spirit ready to deceive Who will you become as this "being" takes the lead?
God says as you trust in your idol So like your idol you shall be
Will your mouth not be able to speak? A throat that chokes if my God you seek Will your eyes glare, reflicting candle light? Eyes that can not see in others the eyes of Christ Will your ears hear dark whispers that fills your room? Ears that reject that love rose from a tomb Will your nostrils draw in the stench of the grave? But can not inhale the sweetness of the One who saves Will your hand feel only the cold shiver of silver and gold? But can not embrace the warmth of the Saviors hold Will your feet be placed where others say stay? Feet that can not walk in the light of Day
