What does family mean to you?

Maybe you were an only child; you might have even been adopted.

Possibly, you were raised in a single parent home.

Some come from large families. Is it truly cheaper by the dozen?

Was there a large extended family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins?

I give thanks to God for my birth family, spiritual family and church family.

Gaither had it right; Christ followers belong to the family of God.

That is a big family!

God is our Father.

“I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God (John 20:17b NKJV).”

We can approach Holy God; He is our Father.

“In this manner, therefore, pray:

“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen (Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV).” 

His kingdom, power and glory and we are in His family. WOW!

I love God’s family.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another (John 13:30-35 NKJV).”
