THE LIGHT HOUSE
by Lewis E. Thomas

THE LIGHT HOUSE

There is a grand old gospel song called "The Light House" that always blesses my soul!
It's one of those songs that never ever grows old!

Every Church under the name of Jesus Christ is to be a Light House shinning bright!
To be a beacon to those who are lost in the darkness as sin holds them tight!

But today The Light of Christ is growing ever so dim!
As God's Church/Light House drifts farther and farther away from Him!

Lost souls on the Stormy Seas of Life cannot find their way out!
Because THE LIGHT in many Churches has gone completely out!

Has the Light in your Church/Light House died away due to loss of power!
Is your Church "failing those who need it" in their darkest hour?

If so, who is to blame for the loss of power that used to make your Church shine BRIGHT?
Could some of the fault be on "you" because you stopped doing what you know is right?

Was it "your neglect" of prayer and praise and the study of GOD'S word?
"Or do you blame it "all" on the Pastor which would be totally absurd?"

The Pastor cannot power the Church/Light House on his own alone!
It takes the "whole" congregation obeying THE WORD and staying spiritually STRONG!

As I close this rhyme think about all those lost on the DARK SEA OF SIN!
Become a POWER CELL that will make God's LIGHT HOUSE shine bright again!

Matthew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 5:16

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven
