THE UNSEEN ENEMY

There once was a private in an army
He was with a unit of two hundred men.
They were all deep in enemy territory
Like a soul that is lost in sin.

A point man had been carefully selected
To scout the terrain that was just ahead.
His job was to spot the enemy quickly
Before the enemy shot someone dead.

Slowly, they approached a stand of brush and trees
Four hundred eyes searched the area with care.
Only two eyes out of the four hundred
Saw the enemy soldiers that were hiding there.

These eyes belonged to a faithful private
Who knew his unit was near great harm.
What were merely seconds seemed like hours
As the point man sounded no alarm.

The private yells "Get down! Enemy ahead! Get down!"
The two hundred men quickly hit the ground.
They lay motionless for half an hour
As four hundred eyes looked all around.

The captain crawled over to the private
Then his eyes searched the area again.
But his eyes still could not pick out
The enemy soldiers that were hidden within.

The Captain said "Private you are going crazy!"
And he looked at the private with a frown.
When the Captain attempted to stand up
The private quickly pulled him down.

"I will prove the enemy is there Captain!"
He fired his machinegun into the brush
As four enemy soldiers fell dead
A hundred more charged forth with a rush.

The enemy soldiers were quickly shot down
The private's unit was as lucky as could be.
That they had the one special private
Who had those eyes to see.

This simple story about the private
Is to get every unbeliever to realize
That they must come to Jesus
To receive those kind of eyes.

There is an unseen battle going on around you
If you had the spiritual eyes to tell
As Satan sends forth his demon soldiers
To conquer us and take us all to Hell.

If you want evidence of this battle
Let your eyes search out the land around.
See the murderers, rapists, alcoholics, gays, and molesters
That Satan's army has already bound.

God calls you to be his soldier
You can join his ranks today.
Just kneel down on the battlefield
Jesus will enlist you as you pray!
