WALKING THE WALK
by Lewis E. Thomas WALKING THE WALK I was recently reading Billy Graham's book "THE JOURNEY" today.
He revealed a great truth in what he reported a college student had to say!
He said a college student once wrote him saying "I have no use for Christianity or Jesus Christ the Son!
"Because I have never met a Christian who ever acted like one!"
That simple truth should cause all of us Christians to grieve!
Has "our conduct" caused others to turn away from The Cross and not believe?
You know and I know that there have been those times!
When we Christians have committed this very crime!
Many times we become mean and hostile to those who offend us or step on our toes!
How many lost souls has our ungodly conduct offended, ONLY GOD KNOWS"!
We Christians are to be "CHRIST-LIKE" at all times!
We are "never allowed" by God to be rude and unkind!
We have all failed and committed this sin at one time or another!
Being nasty and unkind to strangers, family and even to our Church sisters and brothers!
This is a (Great Sin) and should be pondered long and well!
Because our un-christlike conduct has sent untold numbers "inadvertently" to Hell!

The Bible says: Matthew 12:37
For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
1 Peter 4:11
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
2 Tim 2:24-25
And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle into all men, apt to teach, patient, in meekness instructing those who oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth.
Proverbs 18:19
A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city:and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
Romans 14:13
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brothers way.
Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
