by Lewis E. Thomas WIPE THAT GRIN OFF SATAN'S FACE! What makes old Satan rejoice and smile with glee?
That would be "everytime" he has his way with you and me!
His goal is to keep the sinner from coming to The Cross of Christ!
His goal is to keep us chained and bound with some secret sin or vice!
Satan watches the husband giving that second look at another woman not his own!
Satan grins, thinking how he can use that little "flicker of lust" to bust up a home!
Satan grins when he hears us gossiping and backbiting others!
He grins when he sees us at odds with our sisters and our brothers!
Satan grins when he sees the Christian skip Church to go fishing!
Satan grins when he sees us foolishly fulfilling his wishes!
He grins when he sees the Christian's Bible collecting a layer of dust!
He knows that makes it easier for him to destroy us with sins like greed, envy, or lust!
When we disobey God and sin against Him and His Grace...
That keeps a BIG GRIN on old Satan's face!
But when old Satan sees us get on our knees to pray!
Well, that scares him and just ruins his whole day!
Wipe that grin off old Satan's face today!
By getting down on your knees everyday to pray!
Are "you" and old Satan good buddies and friends?
Do you "scare him" or does your life make him rejoice and grin?
