The Great Pretender

I am The Great Pretender, a fraud and a sham!
I can never let the saints know who I "really" am!

I wave my hands high in church for everyone to see!
I am the first to the alter to pray on my knees!

I brag about the money I put in the offering plate!
When it comes to pretending I am really great!

I talk the talk and pretend to walk the walk with Heaven's Best!
I like to pretend that I'm more godly than the rest!

I am very careful to always cover and hide my sinful tracks!
It would be really stressful if my church learned the facts.

I cannot let you find out about my secret sins!
So, I will be The Great Pretender to the very end!

I pretend to love God but it is just a lie and a crock!
I wear a Holy mask so I can mingle with the flock!

I prowl in the darkness beyond God's Fence of Grace!
Then I cover my trail so you won't find a trace!

I am so convincing not even my pastor can tell.
I am a wolf in sheep's clothing and a child of Hell.

I am The Great Pretender on this path I trod!
"I am so cunning.. I think I have even fooled God! "

I am one of those "TARES AMONG THE WHEAT" who sows discord and rebellion in the pews!

I have destroyed many real Christians by persuading them to "embrace" my unholy liberal views!
