He’s always on the lookout for us;
For He loves us beyond our flaws;
His plan is always for good
Having no deceit in its neighbourhood

Hence He gave His Son for a change;
An unusual but beautiful exchange
To bring us into Heaven’s range

To the end of cleaning all our filth
And trading our reproach for merit;
He wants to give us a lift
Much more than any human gift

Of course, He sees all our pain
And knows when we complain;
Before Him, everything is plain
But he’ll swap the shame for gain

He knows our heart cry!
And sees how much we try
He hears, even when we sigh
And He is ready to lift us high

His promises never fail!
And His words are never stale
So believe and do not waver;
The Lord will surely deliver

Indeed, in His season of gladness
He releases strength for weakness
He rewrites evil tales
And removes the unwholesome veil;
He saves from the stormy gale;
Replaces failures with victory
And ashes with beauty
