SORROW OF THE HEART
by Lewis E. Thomas SORROW OF THE HEART Sorrow of the heart came suddenly like a "MIGHTY WIND!"
Into the life and family of one of my dear friends!
Little almost three year old Liam lost his life in a backyard pool!
Oh, How life can sometimes be so terribly cruel!
Hearts filled with sorrow, pain and grief!
"Dear God in Heaven, grant this precious family some kind of relief!"
Hopes and dreams for the future of a cherished son!
"Suddenly and tragically become totally undone!"
Pain piercing through a family's heart and soul!
Grief that only our God in Heaven can console!
Lord, reach down from Heaven and gently hold this family up!
As they stagger from the pain and grief within that Bitter Cup!
God replies: I see this family's suffering and I can relate to their loss!
Because I grieved and wept also, over my Son, as he died on The Cross!
God: Little Liam is now "up here" in Heaven with Jesus and me!
He is running around all over this place, laughing and chasing angels, and he is a sight to see!
