I CLING TO THE CROSS!
by Lewis E. Thomas I CLING TO THE CROSS! I cling to the Cross of The Crucified!
I cling to The Cross where my Savior died!
I cling to the Cross where I found salvation sweet!
I kneel and kiss Jesus' bloody and dirty feet!
I cling to that bloody old cross because it is my only righteousness!
Where Jesus died so that I could be forgiven and eternally blessed!
I cling to Jesus, God's precious Lamb!
I cling to Jesus, The Great I Am!
I cling to The Son who made all things!
I cling to The MIGHTY KING of kings!
I cling to every precious word that my Lord has said!
I cling to the One who rose from the dead!
I cling to the One who walked upon the Sea!
I cling to Jesus who died on a Cross for you and me!
I cling to the Cross of Christ and it alone!
Because I have no righteousness of my own!
I will cling to The Cross to The End!
Because that's where I found forgiveness for my Sins!
I cling to The Cross where Christ's Love was displayed so sweet!
I cling to my Savior's pierced and bloody feet!
If not for The Cross where would I now be?
"Out there lost somewhere on Sin's Great Raging Sea?"
